Family Medicine CFPC Exam Question Bank

Full-scope primary care practice questions, prevention, chronic disease, mental health, women's health, and geriatrics, in written-exam style.

Family medicine certification is granted by the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC), not the Royal College. MDReview gives you written-style multiple-choice practice across full-scope family medicine. It does not simulate the Simulated Office Orals (SOOs), and it is not a reproduction of the CFPC's written component.

How to prepare for the Family Medicine written exam

Confirm the current blueprint, eligibility and sitting dates with the CFPC, they own those details. What follows is how residents who have sat it tend to structure the year.

    What you'll practise here

The Family Medicine bank is organised into these areas, so you can work system by system or mix everything for exam simulation.

    Acute & Chronic Care
    • Acute Care
    • Chronic Disease Management
    Prevention
    • Preventive Care
    Across the Lifespan
    • Pediatrics
    • Geriatrics
    • Women's Health
    Focused Areas
    • Mental Health
    • Musculoskeletal
    • Dermatology
    Months 6–4 before

Work through the bank area by area alongside clinical duties. Aim for steady daily volume rather than weekend marathons, and review every missed question properly, that review is where the learning sits.

    Months 3–2 before

Switch to mixed blocks so you lose the cue of knowing which area a question came from. Use your accuracy by area to decide what gets extra reading, and practise explaining your reasoning out loud in full sentences.

    Final month

Timed full-length practice under exam conditions, then taper. No new material in the last few days, consolidate weak areas and protect your sleep.

    Exam-Year Pass

    $1000 CAD12-month access

    • Pass guarantee: free 6-month extension if you don't pass on your first sitting.
    • Secure checkout, payments processed by Stripe.
    • Education-fund receipt: itemized invoice suitable for resident education-fund reimbursement.
    • 7-day money-back guarantee, full refund, no questions asked.
